ASUS Launches ROG Ally X Pro: The Most Powerful Handheld Gaming Console in 2026

March 28, 2026 – Taipei, Taiwan – ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today launched its latest handheld gaming console, the ROG Ally X Pro, hailed as the most powerful handheld gaming device in 2026. The console is designed for gaming enthusiasts, integrating high-performance hardware and a user-friendly system to deliver a console-level gaming experience on the go.

The ROG Ally X Pro is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile GPU, marking the first time that a handheld gaming console has been equipped with an RTX 4070-level graphics card. This hardware configuration allows the console to run 3A games at 1080p resolution and 60fps smoothly, including popular titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy. It also comes with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, providing ample storage space and fast data reading speed.

In terms of display, the ROG Ally X Pro features a 7-inch 1080p OLED touchscreen with a 165Hz high refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, delivering smooth and vivid gaming visuals. The console adopts an ergonomic design with a lightweight body of only 650g, and the handle part is wrapped in non-slip rubber to ensure a comfortable grip during long gaming sessions. It is also equipped with a 6000mAh large-capacity battery, supporting 65W fast charging, which can charge from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

In addition, the ROG Ally X Pro runs on Windows 11 Home operating system, supporting seamless integration with PC games and game platforms such as Steam and Epic Games Store. It also has a variety of expansion interfaces, including USB-C 3.2 Gen2, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing users to connect external displays, keyboards and mice for a more comprehensive gaming experience. The console will be available worldwide in April 2026, with a starting price of $999.
